Journey to Calabria

In this Milanese experience, he becomes friends with the homeless William, a man of about fifty, with whom he has the pleasure of sharing the food he takes away from the workplace. The two often talk about their lives, a genuine dialogue between friends and, thanks to his infinite wisdom, the homeless man has become his mentor. The young protagonist confesses to the man his dissatisfaction with his unsatisfying job, his problems adjusting to the chaotic dynamics of the city, but above all, his fear and uncertainty about the future that put his choices into question. 

Then William advises him to unplug, to take a break by doing something outside the box: go on a carefree trip into nature, far from stress and daily afflictions, live without a home above his head just like him. The young man is hesitant, however, he feels the need to fulfill that need and, comforted by the man’s words, decides to take a vacation.

By now it’s evening, sitting in front of his laptop, the protagonist is looking for a fascinating destination and comes across the site: camminobasiliano.it – itinerary of history, art and religion in the heart of Calabria, an extraordinary region in southern Italy; intrigued by those fascinating images, he decides to go to those very places. Thus begins the great adventure that will change his life, bringing him the love of a young woman.
